Securing solar generation grid approval

All UK generation projects need to be connected to the national grid. This is for legislation compliancy requirements, as well as backup power, if extra energy is ever needed. It also allows you to sell any excess energy generated back to the grid. If you don’t plan to export any power now, you may want to in the future.

District Network Operators (DNO’s) are responsible for new grid connections. Centreco will manage and submit the required network application and will also liaise with DNO operators on your behalf until grid approval is secured.

Safety-focused and 100% compliance rate across all sectors

Centreco’s in-house health and safety team ensures that all installations fully comply with up-to-date legislative and compliance regulations as well as adhering to strict sector-specific requirements, including high-security sites.

In conjunction with approval processes, a health and safety compliance plan will be prepared by our team, taking into consideration operating factors, logistical features (such as site access), equipment storage and working facilities.

We will always work to an agreed installation plan with minimum disruption to your daily operations. However, it’s worth noting that most solar installation projects are undertaken away from the main operations of a site, such as on a rooftop or on separate land.
