Background

Axis Shield specialise in the development of proprietary diagnostic tests in areas of clinical need and their incorporation onto the menus of the high throughput analysers of our partners, using a variety of assay technologies.

They specialise in unique markers for the early diagnosis and management of critical illnesses including Cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sepsis, Vitamin deficiencies and Diabetes.

Axis Shield were keen to bolster their green credentials in line with increasing environmental pressures within the wider industry. Centreco conducted a number of studies in order to design the most efficient solar energy system that would match their electricity usage profile. Ultimately a bespoke 325kW Tier One system was installed by Centreco which will allow for Axis Shield to use the majority of the electricity generated from the system, ensuring the best long term commercial returns.
