After ensuring all Karndean Designflooring products and accessories were manufactured in factories certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and ISO 9001 Quality Standard; for Karndean, the next stage in their environmental and Corporate social responsibility programmes was the installation of a commercial solar energy system.

After exploring all the available options in the market, Centreco were selected to design and install a bespoke 100kW system optimised to maximise the available long term commercial returns. This was achieved by designing the system to a specification in line with their electricity usage profile. This installation now sits alongside their other environmental initiatives including LED lighting and recycling programmes as well as all their packaging being made using recycled material.
