Christies of Fochabers

Being a family owned and run garden centre for over 200 years (with Restaurant and Play Garden) really puts Christies at the heart of the local community in Inverness. With the community values running through all aspects of the business, Christies were keen to improve their environmental credentials and reduce their carbon footprint.

After exploring multiple options, it was decided that Solar would be the most commercially viable option and bring with it the most impactful environmental benefits long term.

Centreco were able to demonstrate through modelling the system and bringing in ‘Meteonorm’ data (the local climatic conditions and weather patterns), that even in Inverness a Solar Panel system would deliver and exceed on the expected returns.
