Ashley Timber are the largest Timber Merchants in South Shields and have been based in the heart of the town centre for over 30 years. They are focussed on continuous improvement and focus on providing the very best service and prices to their customers across the North East of England.

They stock a huge range of timber and building materials to suit any size project and have a key focus on the environmental credentials of the company. In 2012 they managed to gain certification for FSC which is the Forest Stewardship Council which actively promotes forestry sustainability and regeneration and ensures that timber materials can be traced from root to customer.

The installation of a commercial solar energy system was the next natural step in the company wide environmental strategy. Centreco designed and install a bespoke 32kW system which closely matched the companies electricity usage profile to ensure the best long term commercial returns.
