Who are Centreco
Centreco is the trading name of Centreco (UK) Limited, a business based in Chorley, Lancashire who are the leading provider of solar energy systems to businesses throughout the United Kingdom.
Centreco is a renewable energy company formed in January 2014, it is now part of Certas Energy, the UK’s pre-eminent fuel and energy distributor whose parent company, DCC plc, is a FTSE 100 international support services group which leads in the sphere of energy transition.
Centreco specialise in providing high quality commercial solar energy systems. We work across a range of business sectors – owner / operators, corporates, landlords, new builds and the public sector. We can also provide re-roof and roof work requirements as part of our solar energy installation services.

By offering solar panels to UK business, Centreco deliver premium solar pv energy systems allowing companies to control their electricity generation at substantially reduced costs, to deliver environmental benefits and to increase their energy security.

Adrian Dunleavy
Adrian Dunleavy
After holding senior executive roles in the automotive, media and energy sectors Adrian formed Centreco in January 2014, building the platform for a business focussed on leading the U.K. commercial solar energy market. By joining forces with solar energy professionals and stakeholders, Centreco quickly developed a strong market position allowing its development into a major force in the industry.
He is active in the business as a catalyst for its development and Chairs both Centreco (UK) Limited and its Holding Company being Array Investments Limited. He is responsible for overseeing Corporate, Strategic and Financial matters.
Adrian believes Centreco has the opportunity to lead and consolidate the U.K. commercial solar energy sector by delivering exceptional financial returns and environmental benefits for its clients. Centreco has developed into a strong high growth Company challenging the norms of electricity supply to the commercial sector in the U.K.
Jon Williams
Jon Williams
Having originally honed his management skills in the plant hire and construction sectors, Jon has a wealth of experience in the solar energy sector having held a number of senior operational roles focussed on the successful development and delivery of solar energy installations at scale across a range of renewable markets.
Jon initially led the operational, logistics and procurement functions of the Centreco business from its formation in 2014. As well as building the company’s unrivalled in house installation capacity, Jon developed the procurement and pricing models which allow Centreco to be the most competitive company in the marketplace.
As Managing Director Jon now oversees the day to day management and performance of the Centreco business across all functions. Jon stays very close to each project and is very much hands on, being easily accessible to clients, suppliers and stakeholders. He is a strong operator with an entrepreneurial spirit, he drives the Centreco to be the very best in the commercial solar energy sector.
Jon leads the successful development of Centreco by offering its clients exceptional service levels, lower costs to access solar energy combined with innovative funding solutions to allow immediate pay back.
OPERATIONS
Phil Mooney
Phil Mooney
Phil has a background in business processes, information technology, marketing systems and data management. With an accounting qualification Phil has a keen eye for detail and is technically astute.
Phil joined Centreco in 2016, he initially devised and implemented the company’s business systems, I.T. infrastructure, C.R.M. and data management processes before progressing to manage Centreco’s solar energy technical and design function. He led the innovation hub of Centreco, continually reviewing appropriate and developing products for deployment in order to maximise client returns.
Phil has progressed to lead the co-ordination of the Operations function of Centreco. He is now responsible for the organisation of operational resources to ensure an on time on budget delivery of the Company’s installations.
He will oversee the process of system build through the operational function of the business and as such is key to the planning, logistics, procurement and workflow efficiencies of Centreco.
Phil is front facing and ultimately responsible for the delivery of a first class client service during the installation phase of a project, involving himself in the sign off of all projects to specification and functionality with a client.
Phil ensures a high-quality solar energy system is delivered by Centreco and that a client is fully satisfied with a Centreco installation through the build process to commissioning and final sign off.
Steve Coyne
Steve Coyne
Steve has a wealth of solar energy technical and installation experience having worked in the sector since 2008 and operated as a senior electrician with Centreco from 2018. He has strong management skills and has developed with the organisation to lead Centreco’s installation operations in the North of the United Kingdom.
Having this hands-on experience of Centreco installations, means Steve brings with him a thorough understanding of what is required to deliver commercial solar energy systems on schedule, on budget and in a safe manner.
Steve will act as a central point of contact throughout the installation of a solar energy project to ensure that clients are kept updated with the progress of the installation as well as managing the Centreco installation teams whilst they are on site.
Steve is a perfectionist and will ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards whilst meeting the latest and most stringent health and safety guidelines.
He will further develop and expand Centreco’s installation resources in the North of the country, allowing for an increase in scale of operations with a continued focus on quality and compliance.
Benjamin Hughes
Benjamin Hughes
Ben has over eight years’ experience in the electrical installation sector, managing sites including the Largest Amazon Distribution Centre in Europe and Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. He has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience in large electrical project delivery.
Ben joined Centreco in 2021 and has developed a thorough understanding of what is required to deliver commercial solar energy systems on schedule, on budget and in a safe manner.
With strong leadership skills, Ben now heads Centreco’s installation operations in the South of the United Kingdom and as such manages the Company’s on-site build and delivery teams across that geography. He will manage on site logistics, procurement and will offer a full localised project management service for a Centreco client.
Ben will act as a central point of contact throughout the installation of a solar energy system to ensure that clients are kept updated with the progress of the installation as well as managing the Centreco installation teams whilst they are on site ensuring they meet deadlines whilst working under the most stringent health and safety regulations.
Ben will further develop and expand Centreco’s installation resources in the South of the country, allowing for an increase in scale of operations with a continued focus on quality and compliance.

Tim Young
Tim Young
Tim has enjoyed a successful career in sales development and client services in dynamic business environments. He has worked through periods of exceptional change within various industry sectors and from day one has truly understood the positive impacts a Commercial Solar Energy System can deliver both financially and environmentally for a client.
Tim has always had a very keen interest in the environment and helping both individuals and business looking to reduce their carbon footprint. He uses his free time to promote local environmental issues and support communities in environmental projects. He understands first-hand the positive impact a solar energy system can bring to a Company’s social and sustainability programs.
Tim joined Centreco in 2022 and brings this enthusiasm to managing the design and commercial element of a project. Having immersed himself in the requirements of a client operationally, commercially and logistically he will work on a client’s behalf to generate the ultimate system formation and an optimum commercial proposal.
He will manage the development of a project through the contract phase to project installation, at all times being conscious to maximise financial returns whilst at the same time improving a client’s sustainability credentials.

Alan has a background in senior Sales and Customer Service roles for organisations across the Construction, Leisure, Manufacturing and the Renewable Energy sectors. As an experienced link between supplier and customer in corporate, private and public sector environments Alan has facilitated the delivery of several multi-million pound capital projects in the U.K. and internationally.
Alan joined Centreco in 2019 and has progressed in the role to be a leading Project Development Manager for the Company. This role is responsible for the interface with a client from the solar energy project development, through the contract phase to project installation.
Alan will manage the design and commercial element of a project. Having immersed himself in the requirements of a client operationally, commercially and logistically he will work on a client’s behalf to generate the ultimate system formation and an optimum commercial proposal.
Alan takes delight in seeing a solar system perform beyond its expectations – something he is getting very used to as a part of the Centreco business.
Chris Ruddock
Chris Ruddock
Chris has been immersed in the solar energy market for many years and knows the sector inside and out having worked in senior roles across the industry. He has led commercial operations and has always had a passion for bringing the benefits of solar energy to his customer base.
Chris has seen the sector evolve with technologies advancing and localised energy generation gaining traction. Chris has always believed in the potential of self-generated solar energy, but with the increasing commercial and environmental pressures he believes that the case for a Solar Energy installation make more sense now for businesses than ever before.
Chris joined Centreco in 2020, identifying the Company as a leader in the business market and an organisation with the capability of delivering his vision of a holistic approach to the delivery of a solar energy installation in the commercial sector.
Chris now uses his experience to manage the design and commercial element of a project. Having immersed himself in the requirements of a client operationally, commercially and logistically he will work on a client’s behalf to generate the ultimate system formation and an optimum commercial proposal. He will manage the development of a project through the contract phase to project installation.
Chris is enthused by the ability Centreco have to deliver commercial solar installations at scale and looks forward to the potential to work with an increasing number of clients to bring the opportunity of solar energy to reality.

Michelle Marchant
Michelle Marchant
Michelle is a skilled business administrator, having experience in managing company offices and business processes in a variety of sectors including utilities, engineering and fabrication.
Michelle joined Centreco in 2018 as Business Administration Manager. This role oversees the smooth internal operation of Centreco’s business processes and runs the works required for solar energy project approval pre-installation ,including operator approval, planning and structural surveys and post installation including operator inspections, handover packs and warranty transfers.
Her resources also manage transport, travel, head office logistics and general administration.
Michelle is key contact point in the organisation and her efficiency and organisation delivers a smooth operational process for the business. Her contribution helps Centreco run efficiently ensuring a first-class service can be offered to our clients.
Farhan Iqbal
Farhan Iqbal
Farhan brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having been working as a finance professional for over 10 years in a range of fast-moving industries including leisure, events and capital equipment sectors.
He joined Centreco in 2022, immediately being impressed by the financial upsides a Centreco Solar Energy System will bring a client. The proposition warms the heart of a business man focussed on the bottom-line.
Farhan is responsible for all accounting, reporting and treasury functions and is key in ensuring that Centreco delivers its end-to-end solar energy installation business in the most cost effective manner in order to drive down solar energy system supply prices to its client base. Centreco’s cost competitiveness is at the core of its proposition.
He ensures the professional operation of the company’s financial processes through liaison with both clients and suppliers in order to ensure timely delivery of the Company’s projects within budget.
Farhan has very quickly come to understand the strong commercial case offered by Centreco and upholds this position by co-ordinating a finance function focussed on ensuring an efficient development, supply and installation process for the Company’s client base.
John Williamson
John Williamson
John has a strong background in business-to-business customer services and client liaison roles.
He has been with Centreco from 2016 and has progressed to Head the Company’s energy consultancy function. Often the first point of contact for a client with Centreco, John manages a team focussed on working with a client to scope the potential of a commercial solar energy system and to model the financial and environmental benefits in the context of their energy usage and operations.
This no cost evaluation phase is critical for a client to assess the opportunities a solar energy system will bring and John’s team will use their project design, commercial and technical skills to realistically demonstrate outputs of a solar energy system modelled bespoke to a client’s site.
John’s first-class knowledge, his client focus and technical skills allow for an engaging interaction with clients yielding a very useful and in most instances a compelling proposition to be developed.
John has excellent management skills ensuring his team operate with the highest standards of client service through their dealings with the Centreco energy consultancy team, thereby setting the high quality standards for a client’s dealings with Centreco throughout a solar energy system project development and installation.
